Cheese Specialists
The dairy products, particularly
those typical from Valtellina, are the
highlight of the offer of Maggengo
Valtellina.
It can certainly be said to be unusual
path followed by Maggengo Valtellina,
a company founded in 1972 in the
province of Sondrio, as is easily guessed
from the name. In that year Antonio
Gusman, who still runs the company
with his sons, he decided to radically
change life, abandoning the work on a
farm with dairy production to go into
business on cheese, who knew. The
next step was to detect a grocery store
- still operational - where, in addition to
the sale of local products, is dedicated to
the maturation of some types of cheese.
The second took place in 2000, with the
arrival of the second generation. Began
in that year, the activities of wholesalers
of cheese.
With the entry into CIC (in 2006) a new
phase begins - the third - for Maggengo
Valtellina, which began to serve the
channel catering. While remaining true
to its specialization in dairy and typical
products of Valtellina, can count on the

to restaurateurs as a supplier for a full

Currently Maggengo Valtellina serves
restaurants in Valtellina and in the area
of Upper Lake Como (Como side), while
the activity of wholesaler of cheese
goes up to the province north of Milan.
