This water, however, presents some

problems. Sometimes its composition

is not ideal. The amount of inorganic

mineral salts may be excessive and

together with these can be found

heavy metals that arise both aquifers

which from the pipes. It is true that

for drinking water must be considered

to have a quantity of these pollutants

under certain limits, but it is also true,

especially thinking to heavy metals,

which creates an effect of accumulation

over time that can hardly be considered

healthy for the ‘body.

The other problem that presents the

public water is that of chlorination. The

chlorine is indispensable for purifying

water by bacteria, but it is not devoid of

side effects within the human body.

In recent times, many cities are

equipped with municipal distributors,

alongside a limited cost, offer water

properly filtered that certainly guarantee

a better quality.

The systems of demineralization of

water, used in restaurants and local,

are certainly very effective in the

treatment of water from heavy metals

and chlorine. Can present the drawback

of a final product is not particularly

appreciated by the consumer.

Bottled water have the problem of

transport, exposure to the elements,

particularly light and heat and disposal

of glass or plastic. In the latter case,

then, the association between exposure

to heat and storage for long periods is

suspected of being able to release in the

waters certain toxic substances.

Based on these considerations we

could establish behaviors ideal to

carry in function of the occasions. For

home consumption would certainly be

helpful to put a filter at the entrance of

water in the house for the purification

generally distrusting of cheap products

or purification systems extemporaneous

really not very useful. Alternatively,

however uncomfortable it may be useful

to obtain supplies of water municipal

distributors.

TIPS FOR FOOD. In the case of catering

the choice must necessarily be made

between the purified water and bottled

water. The first case usually proves to

be very cheap, but often not appreciated

by the consumer, since the purified

water has a standard taste, almost

completely devoid of flavor, which can

hardly pleasure and that, consequently,

is simply accepted.

As for the bottled water you will

certainly give preference to the glass

and you could have water with different

levels of mineralization.

LISTEN TO CUSTOMER. Currently the

consumer is oriented in two distinct

directions: consumption for pleasure

and consumption to health. In the first

case will be difficult to please everyone,

and therefore one might turn mainly

to waters identified according to local

preferences or advertising information.

In the second case, however, in view

of the increasing consumer’s attention

to the connection between food and

health, it will be good to have at least

minimally mineralized water.

WHEN AND HOW TO DRINK. Most

of the water taken daily, in order

to reciprocate that consumed in the

various activities and functions of

our body, should be drunk between

meals. On the occasion of the meals

you could only take a glass of water

before you start eating because, with

proper hydration daily, you should be

especially stimulated by thirst. Drinking

an excessive amount of water during

the meal could speed up the phases

digestive and make them, therefore,

incomplete, as might excessively dilute

the gastric juices and duodenal and

reduce efficiency.

SPARKLING OR NATURAL? Between

carbonated and natural during the

meal there is no difference: you can

be guided only by their own personal

pleasure. The best water moisturizing

taken between meals is not carbonated.

Not to be neglected is the idea that we

can offer, during the meal, hot water,

lightly flavored with a few drops of

lemon or with floral extracts.
