Why the name Il Pascolo Verde?

Has it got a special meaning?

We wanted a name that clearly

referred to our genuine products

and to our business mission. We

studied the logo according to these

principles, and we got a cow on a

green grassy field. You must know

that we started off the business with

salami and dairy products.

How is your business structured?

The food distribution - fresh, frozen

and dry food - for the

Ho.Re.Ca.

channel has considerably grown

with time, both in terms of range

and in terms of areas covered. Our

headquarters is in the industrial area

of Carini (PA), a strategic position

that speeds up deliveries. We are a

few kilometres away from Palermo

and about 100km from Trapani, the

two big areas we cover. Apart from

increasing our range of products,

in 2003 we expanded our premises:

today we have a warehouse of about

2,100sqm over an area of 5,000 sqm.

To be competitive and to manage

customers properly, we have three

refrigerating rooms, two at +4 °C

and one at -20 °C. The business is

well organized and we guarantee

deliveries in 24 hours.

How many employees do you have?

Do they receive training?

We have 16 agents and they are

constantly updated, to make

customers faithful and offer them

the best information. We also have

25 employees and 16 vans that travel

between Palermo and Trapani.

What are and how many are the

products in your range?

We have a vast assortment of 1,500

products between salami and

dairy products. We also have a

dried line and a frozen line and we

commercialize Panna fresca Giglio

(fresh cream) and the Bindi Desserts.

For breakfast, we also distribute

Delifrance and San Giorgio.

What are the most popular

products? What are your

strengths?

Among the many products, the

one that represents our strength is

mozzarella cheese for pizza. We’ve

worked on this product with our

own label since the very beginning,

standing out for quality and for the

experience we had in the dairy sector.

How do you face the evolution in

the restoration world and more

generally in the food sector?

We consistently monitor orders and

we are aware of what products are

popular and what are less popular,

those on a growing trend and those

on a negative trend. We must say that

joining Cooperativa Italiana Catering

has certainly made a difference.

We can exchange ideas, hear other

people’s experiences and the

developments of other members in

the Cooperativa. Thanks to this, we

faced situations that at first seemed

more complex. We can also manage

products under the Cooperative

label, to avoid competition on the

same products.
