Redaelli, are a few realizations
particularly successful.
MULTI-FUNCTION PANELS
A Place in Milan is the café-restaurant
in Cascina Cockaigne, subject to
architectural intervention of a
conservative nature. Here the acoustic
problem has been addressed after the
completion of the local with the use
of Eraclit panels (in an interesting
and different intervention of acoustic
improvement has been done once
the local was built, then the addition
of sound absorbing panels could be
complex also from the aesthetic point
of view.

mineralized wood wool with chalk that
guarantee quality thermal insulation
and sound absorption. The technical
specification, but also aesthetic is just
the visible surface in thin fiber called

were hung and bound together by
clamps of plastic extruded rails and
ceiling with iron. In some cases they
are used as dividers and fifth in other
cases inserted in the wall as decorative
panels. Towards the entrance, on the

internal communication and for the
gastronomic offer. The use of these
panels is decidedly multifunctional.

VERTICAL GARDEN
Designed by architect Paola Navone,
the restaurant Pane e Vino in Milan
is a unique case as the designer’s
creativity and technical expertise of the
consultant are able to find innovative
solutions. Sound-absorbing materials
are transformed, hiding in the eyes of
most people, taking forms completely
unexpected.”It’s a small bistro of 35
square meters - said Redaelli - that
reinterprets a creative search for
references hybrids between tradition
and modernity.
The many details including gifts,
designer furniture and art pieces create
a place made of micro narrative scenes
that alternate between tables and
culinary offerings. The first acoustic
correction surgery included large green
leaves applied to the wall with a double
function: a decorative and the other
absorbing. The material used, shaped
and colored applied to the wall, is
an effective solution to amortize the
rumble of the local as well as being
a modern element that draws a small
vertical garden inside.
The art and design are the
sophisticated language chosen for the
decoration of this place as the solution
for soundproofing.
The second intervention was to replace
the large leaves a surface formed from
polyurethane foam colored round
slats with shades of earth tones, from
olive green to brown undergrowth.
The project maintains the character to
transform innovative technical material
in an artistic achievement.
The colored polyurethane foam
becomes a unique and technically very
sound absorbing noise and increasing
the comfort of the restaurant in
accordance with the local. The other
intervention is even more hidden: the
great white towels hanging from the
ceiling coils that create an installation
scenic very interesting.
At first glance it would seem a purely
decorative choice that recalls the
atmosphere of the table. In truth the
entry of sound-absorbing material
completely camouflaged white, which

THREE EXAMPLES
Snowsound modules with variable
density
The patented technology Snowsound
uses panels composed of material of
variable density, which allows to obtain
a selective absorption at different
frequencies, and then to optimize
the acoustic environment despite the
thickness much content of the panels
and their incredible lightness.
This technology constitutes the essence
of the modules Flap caimi Brevetti,
designed by Alberto e Francesco Meda.
The absence of stitching and frames
and the characteristics of the material
with which they are made make them
lightweight, small and adaptable. Flap
is fully recyclable because it is made of
single materials and components can
be easily disassembled.
Topakustik, aesthetics and
insulation
Topakustik Fantoni Group is a
system of elements absorbing strips,
designed to achieve the highest levels
of aesthetics and sound quality, in
any architectural situation and with
the maximum installation versatility.
The panels are milled with horizontal
beams and holes.
The back is made from a layer of sound
absorbing material. This wall solution,
alternating with stone and wood has
been used in the restaurant Grani di
Pepe in Flaibano. Fantoni also proposes
a series of acoustic ceilings in wood
decorated with a milling aesthetic that
can be alternated with different color
finishes.

Canopy in-ceiling
In the restaurant Liverpool Football
Club (20:20 arch. Design Limited -
photo ZaraWeller found in acoustic
panels in the ceiling (about 100 mq)
stronger than the decorative theme
throughout the space. The ceiling
panels Canopy Armstrong, offers an
interesting decorative theme: the white
hexagons contrast with the rest of
the ceiling a dark color and in some
cases contain a lighting spot. Panels
are concentrated at the tables in order
to absorb the voices of the diners
below, while thin out in the most silent
passage.
