It is time to discover or rediscover
our grape varieties, and the beautiful
season inevitably leads to a focus
on the white varieties, from north
to south lend by them to accompany
many food and wine pairings.
White wines full of personality,
with changing colours, offering a
kaleidoscope of sensations in various
expressive registers and often also
show a surprising vocation aging.
Wines that are asking to be (re)
proposed, because in the particular
historical phase we are experiencing
that belongs to the past carries
precious promises of authenticity and
typicality.

Albana di Romagna DOCG dry
It is a wine to be drunk young, with
pale yellow colour and a pleasant
scent of apricot.
The taste is dry, well balanced,
which is characteristic of this variety,
Umberto Cesari grown on hilly terrain
near Castel San Pietro Terme (Bo).

Emilia-Romagna’s classic dishes such
as tortellini and Cappelletti.

area in the province of Turin, and is
distinguished by a characteristic scent

especially soups and rice. They
include fish and vegetables.

The Mediterranean climate of the
Valley of the Lakes, in the province
of Trento, is ideal for growing under

hazelnut and almond.

This wine was born in the province
of Pescara hillside vineyards, 25
kilometres from the Adriatic. It smells
as hints of pear and white flowers and
a recall of medicinal herbs, rounded
notes of honeyed. It tastes smooth and
balanced, with a lingering finish.

Ancona, and gives results of particular
olfactory complexity, good structure

The interpretation of La Monacesca is

1) On foreign markets, and in
particular in Austria, which have the
potential of local Italian wines?
There is interest in these tags, but it is
still a niche market with very limited
dimensions.
Demand comes mainly from
enthusiasts, who sometimes want to
drink something different, but it is
certainly not a mass phenomenon.
2) What problems hinder a greater
appreciation of these labels?
First, there is a problem of price,
because of limit orders bottles of
transportation costs affect a lot.
Second place in restaurants is not
always the staff is sufficiently trained
and motivated to explain to customers
the specificities of Italian grape
varieties. Sometimes it becomes
problematic if only the correct
pronunciation of the name of a wine.
No mention to the labels, which many
times are not even think in relation to
the foreign customers.
