It is free to Milan and its outskirts and in the provinces of Lecco, Pavia, Como, Varese, Pavia and Alessandria. The organisation The headquarters is comprised of a total surface area of over 5.000 sqm, which employs 40 people, covering the different functions in the company: warehouse staff, drivers, administration, general service workers and agents. The range The range consists of more than two thousand articles of the most well- known brands and of the best Italian and overseas traditions. Ranging from cheeses to salami, from fresh meat to vegetables and canned fish, over to pasta, flour, wine, oil and drinks. These are just some of the strengths of Il Pascolo Verde, a Sicilian company founded thanks to the initiative of the Di Maggio brothers, now with a staff of employees and collaborators By Maddalena Baldini Il Pascolo Verde, a company located in Carini, in the province of Palermo, brings with it, just from the name, the ability to transmit a link with the environment, with nature and with quality products. A great entrepreneurial history, which began in the early 2000s thanks to the perseverance and skill of the brothers Salvatore and Giuseppe Di Maggio, more than ever active in their respective roles of Managing Director and Sales Director. “It was in 2003 when we started working in the sector; we opened the company, first dealing with cheeses and cold cuts, then we expanded the products with dry goods until we started to chill, down to -20 °, a sector that works very well. It is Salvatore Di Maggio who tells the story of the company from the first steps to affirm, with deserved satisfaction, that today they cover the Ho.Re.Ca channel of Palermo and its province. GROWTH AND SUCCESS “We have grown, we have made investments and our courage has made us right,” he says. “From the beginning of 2000 the turnover has increased significantly, we have gained many customers, we have a great wealth of expertise and experience, and this is also thanks to our entry in CIC in 2008, has been a great help and an important support.” Determination and attention to market demands, a mix that led to the construction of a new headquarters in 2012 - not far from the original one - which covers about 2,100 square meters. “Logistically we are well organised, we have 600 square meters dedicated to the cells (+4 ° and -20 °), we have another 300 square meters reserved for offices and the administrative part and the rest is occupied by the warehouse, structured and prepared for loading and deliveries,” specifies Di Maggio. A dynamic company that gives work to 25 employees in addition to the 12 salesmen who work on the areas for which they are responsible. FROM GREEN TO THE FUTURE Il Pascolo Verde gives the guarantee for approximately 2.000 products, including fresh, frozen and dry (including something gluten free), a continuous increase in the basis of the requests of Ho.Re.Ca. “The customer is always more attentive, wants quality, and we are ready to serve him the best. Our vans are continuously on the move, we deliver in a short time: from 12 hours to 24, obviously considering the distances,” says Di Maggio.
