And that’s not all: we also accept night-time orders. In essence, our customers can send us a request at the end of the service and receive the goods the following morning, within a timeframe reduced to just 12 hours. This is a not insignificant advantage because it allows you to have the necessary items without having to equip yourself with your own warehouse: a great saving especially for those who work in tourist centres of our catchment area. How is Markal structurally organised? The company headquarters is spread over 4,000 square meters where there is space for the warehouse, cold rooms and cutting laboratories of fresh meat and fresh fish. A total of more than 40 professionals work in the sector, divided into different functions. And how are sales and delivery organised? The commercial activity is entrusted to a network of agents composed of 15 people, which has been flanked for about two years by an e-commerce platform reserved for regular customers who have registered for the service. As far as delivery is concerned, every day we deliver over 800 selected products with the help of 20 company vehicles driven by employees. The fleet is equipped with internal partitioning systems, which allow the transport of different foodstuffs at dedicated temperatures, so as to perfectly guarantee the cold chain. Each vehicle is also equipped with movable walls that allow the creation, as necessary, of compartments at different temperatures, so as to allow the simultaneous transport of different foodstuffs. For some years now, attention has also been focused on the world of hospitality and catering with projects aimed at quality and innovation of the proposals. Nicola Levorato, president of Siqur Spa, talks about it. How was the company born and developed over time? Ours is a story that begins a long time ago.. It was in 1958 that my parents, Lino Levorato and Luisa Maniero, founded the family business. In 1983 the company moved to the new and prestigious headquarters of Capriccio di Vigonza and Lino Levorato Srl was established. In 1990, my brother Lucio and I took over the management of the company, specialising in wholesale catering, and in 2001 we founded Siqur Spa. How has your way of working changed? Certainly in recent years our category, thanks to technological innovation, has made great strides. But Siqur’s strength lies in the values our parents passed on to us, values that my brother and I fully share. In addition, we invest the best of our energy in our company and are therefore able to compete strongly in the market in terms of both prices and services. You are a very dynamic company with innovative projects. Let’s talk about your specialisation... Siqur Spa has been able to adapt to the times, becoming a benchmark in the field of food distribution for quality catering. We serve numerous points of sale and we try to satisfy all their needs.
